Young, tall, super wine geek, including all things Paso Robles. A “relative neophyte” to the world, Casey has had interest and exposure to wine from a very young age, leading him to pursue this passion at Cal Poly, where he majored in Wine and Viticulture, with a special focus in Oenology (wine making).
Bowers, who began working at Swirl in 2011 and is a winemaker currently producing Pinot Noir, Corvina and under his label CB Wines www.cbwinecellars.com

Swirl Manager and wine buyer. Born in Vicenza, Italy, Max was raised around the world as an Army brat until 1993 when his family settled in the desert foothills of Southern California. After completing college in the redwoods of UC Santa Cruz, Max continued up the coast, settling in San Francisco in 2005.
Max is completely won over by the Bay Area’s cosmopolitan food culture, and spends most evenings indulging this passion with good food and wine. He also attained a CSW and CSS (Certified Specialist of Wine and Certified Specialist of Spirits)

Evan is an actor, playwright and youth drama coach. In addition to working at Swirl, he also teaches after-school theatre classes to young performers at Harvey Milk Center for the Arts. He can be found serving coffee in the Castro at Spikes Coffee and Teas and pouring cocktails at The Stud Bar on occasion. Evan is also a local drag performer with his comedic character Martha T. Lipton (the failed actress) which he created as part of a comedy show in 2007. In 2006, Evan graduated from The Dell’Arte International School of Physical Theatre in Blue Lake, CA. His love of wine and spirits drew him to Swirl, and he’s really excited to be learning and developing in the industry.

Leslie was born and raised in New York, After graduating from Sarah Lawrence College, she began a career in the art world, working for renowned institutions and curating exhibitions around the world.
In 2010, she moved to Italy and emerged nearly four years later as a sommelier certified by the Associazione Italiana Sommelier. The incredible diversity of Italian wines and beauty of the country’s way of life inspired her to start a wine + culture tourism company called La Dolce Vigna (www.ladolcevigna.com), which offers authentic and intimate experiences in several Italian regions and in Northern California.
Leslie loves living la dolce vita in the Bay Area, which consists mainly of trips to wine country, singing at piano bars, dancing tango and swing, and talking about going on hikes.
